4 months old

Well here i am 4 months old and happy as can be.

I only have 5 baby teeth left now. My boy just checked i am right at 30lbs. We went to puppy play time last weekend. It was really busy. I think i counted 12 puppies for me to play with. But they wouldnt let me near a couple of them cause they were so small. one was smaller than a few of my toys. :D

6 weeks in my new home

OK today makes 6 weeks in my new home. I LOVE IT!!!

I look a little goofy right due to my teeth falling out. I wont let my boy take a pic of my new smile because of this so you will just have to trust me on how funny i look. I have lost 3 of my 4 font teeth. One top and two bottom. The one left on top is just hanging on by a string and wont let go. My boy has tried a few times to pull it out but its so tiny its hard to get a hold of. My first tooth that came out already has a adult tooth coming in in its place. sooo if you keeping track my smile is....half an adult tooth, a baby tooth just hanging there and two empty spots. You can tell why i wouldnt want my pic take. :-P

Today i have another puppy play time at Pet Co. I hope the weather lets up soon so i'm not the only puppy at it. We went last week too. I got to meet a couple new puppies. One of them had just been adopted that morning. Her name was mazie i think. No one was too sure what mix she was or really how old. They were guessing about 6 month cause she still has the knobby knees like i have. albeit not as knobby as mine so there for older.

Oh while we were at the Pet Co. they were having an adoption day and i got to meet a bunch of other dogs... one was HUGE a black lab of some kind that had to be 120lbs. I wanted to play but he didnt. There was also another wiener dog but he didnt want to play just like gertie didnt want to. After the play time i we saw a VERY tiny pitbull pup all of about 7 weeks old but VERY cute. I hope she shows up for play time this week.

This week i started sleep a full night in my crate like a very good girl(my boy told me so). I sleep from midnight all the way to 7:30 or 8:00am every day now.

4 weeks in my new home

Today makes 4 weeks in my new home. I have grown a lot over the past 4 weeks. I now tip the scale at 20.5 pounds and just about 16 inches at the shoulders. I even have a new tooth that popped out this week. I also figured out the basement stairs a few days ago so my boy had to put up the "baby gate". But then he turned the gate into a door so now hes doesn't have to step over when doing up or down stairs. I'll tell you one thing i don't like the gate. There is just too much stuff down stairs i haven't smelled yet oh well i will get down there some day.

3 weeks in my new home

Today marks 3 weeks in my new home. I gotta tell ya it gets better everyday. Thursday was Thanksgiving and we went to gertie's house for dinner. She still doesn't like me but it was cool cause she had a bunch of different toys for me to play with. Oh and Thanksgiving morning i went to my first 5k. I hung out and met a BUNCH of new people while everyone got their bibs. I really like little kids they are very interesting to me. My boy had to tell about 20 people what i was. I think he needs to make a sign for me to wear when we go out. Also it seams i am a bit of a chick magnet I'm sure my boy doesn't mind at all. I just need to get better at walking on a leash.

Last night was my best night in the crate. I only woke up twice. My boy put a hot water bottle in the crate with me and it was really nice for keeping me warm. But it ran out of heat and i just wouldn't settle down after i woke up at 6 am. After that my boy let in to sleep with him and i was happy all the way till 7:30 until i had to go outside.

This is me hanging out on the couch this afternoon. I have grown a lot.

Sophie vs. Gertie round 1

Ok last weekend i got to meet another dog in my family. My boys sisters dog gertie. She is a mini weiner dog all of about 7-8 lbs and 5 years old. She didnt like me at all to start with and every time i would try to play with her she would just bite me and bark at me. All i wanted to do was play. Its sad really cause we could have had alot of fun playing all weekend. Oh well i guess she doesnt like to play cause shes so old.

a bad night with a good day

Well last night i had some trouble while sleeping. I barfed on my boy sleeping next to me at about 2am. Lets say he wasn't too happy with me. I tried to help clean it up abut i don't think he wanted me to eat it. But after about 15 mins of cleaning we were back to bed. I am now sleeping almost 6 hours in a row at night. My boy is very happy about that cause i don't think he was dealing well with the 4 hour naps for the first week and a half. I'm still growing fast up to almost 14inch at the shoulder and over 16lbs already.

I get to see Gertie this weekend. I hope we get along well it should be fun if we get along. Maybe my boy can take some fun pics of us playing in the back yard.

Well the tricks and commands are coming along great. I now can come, sit and lay down along with shake and high five. We are still working on stay and a few others. Oh now my boy has started to get my adjusted to being locked in the crate. Today for each meal he would put my bowl in the crate then close the door. For breakfast i didn't like it too much and stopped eating a couple times to look out the door of the crate. Then for lunch time i didn't turn around until my food was gone but 5 mins after is was gone i wasn't too happy about the door being closed but i hung in there for another couple mins. Now for dinner i did great or at least thats what my boy said. I ate my dinner turned around and sat there for a bit. But its so nice in my crate that i just laid down and took a little nap. I spent a full 20 mins in the crate with out asking to get out once. My boy was very happy with me when i got out.

i think my ears have gotten more perky but my right is up higher than my left. Oh my boy also told me that they have DNA tests at pet co so we can know what i am and that will be helpful for how big i will get. :D

Week one in my new home

Its been a great week. I have learned so much and gotten so much love. I am now up to 15.5 pounds and 13.5 inches at the shoulders. I'm eating a 1/2 cup of food 3 times a day. Also i have been getting a lot of treats in my training. So far with training i have learned; down, sit, lay down and shake. I'm still having trouble with stay cause i love being by my boy so much. We have also tried a couple tricks like sit up and roll over but those are a little bit too hard right now just give me a few weeks.

On Saturday we went to Pet Co to get me some food and maybe meet some other dogs and people. Well it turned out they were having a puppy play time that day started right about the time we were paying for my food. Turns out only a couple other puppies showed up for it but it was fun. I got to play with zoey and meet bailey. Zoey was fun but almost twice my size. I held my own with her and was pretty much deciding when we played and when we didn't. bailey on the other hand really didn't want to play at all and just hung out under the chairs. They are going to have another play time but its not till December 13th... i hope I'm not to big to play by then.

Today me and my boy worked on walking with a leash. I was walking around with the leach hooked up to my collar for a while in the house. After awhile of that we went out the backdoor and down the driveway with the leash on. It was a good thing he has treats with him cause i was having a hard time focusing on the walking. But in the end i think it went well. From the sound of it we will be doing more tomorrow.
